Associate Consultant
Songpol Kritsanapan is an Associate Consultant with more than 40 years of experience in the electric utility industry, supporting utilities in the planning, operation, modernization, and integration of mission-critical operational systems. Throughout his career, he has held key technical and leadership roles spanning Energy Management Systems (EMS), Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), SCADA control systems, control center operations, and data center design, construction, and implementation. His experience also includes the deployment of Smart Grid technologies such as Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), and other emerging grid-edge solutions.
Mr. Kritsanapan has substantial knowledge of transmission and distribution power system operations, Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for power plant environments, and the design and operation of utility control centers. He has supported complex initiatives involving IT/OT integration, middleware platforms, enterprise data warehousing, and the coordination of systems across utility operations and business functions. His background combines deep technical knowledge with practical implementation experience, enabling utilities to improve reliability, efficiency, scalability, and operational readiness.
Mr. Kritsanapan’s areas of expertise include EMS/ADMS/SCADA, transmission and distribution operations, control center design and operations, Smart Grid and microgrid applications, IT/OT systems integration, data management platforms, and project and program management.
