Madhur Diwan

Madhur Diwan is a Principal Consultant at ESTA International whose electric utility career spans more than three decades. An electrical engineer and MBA based in California, he has worked in utility operations, technology consulting, and solution development across the United States, Canada, India, and the United Arab Emirates.

​

Mr. Diwan began his career in transmission and distribution operations, gaining direct experience with substations, protection and control, metering, distribution automation, and grid operations He later moved into utility technology and consulting leadership, where his work expanded to advanced metering infrastructure, meter data management, ADMS, system integration, distributed energy resources, and broader grid-modernization programs. Mr. Diwan advises utilities on translating operational needs into technology strategies, requirements, solution architectures, roadmaps, procurement decisions, and implementation plans.

Before joining ESTA, Mr. Diwan held positions with Schneider Electric, Black & Veatch, TRC, Capgemini, and London Hydro, among other utility and technology organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Diwan is a member of IEEE and the IEEE Power & Energy Society.
