Ms. Sandra Guill has a background in environmental policy and climate change. She spent 22 years at the U.S. Department of Energy in the area of environment and clean energy policy. She was a senior member of the U.S. Country Studies Program where she managed the climate change studies of sixteen African countries. She had responsibility for overseeing developing countries in performing assessments of the impact of climate change upon various sectors of their economy and developing mitigation options.
Ms. Guill is currently an environmental consultant and has performed the Preliminary Environmental Impact Assessments for projects in Morocco, Namibia, Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mexico, India, Philippines, and Colombia.
Ms. Guill has co-authored several books and articles relating to climate change. Among these is Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessments: an International Guidebook, Kluwer Academic Press, 1996.
